I am a parent with kids who love the technology and love gaming. It is a continuous process for a parent to pay attention to the games that they play and moderate the messages that they receive. A key element is to ensure that you as a parent respect the Age Restrictions on games, but more than that, you have to stay involved and, as you mention, discuss the games to ensure that these games are not confused with the real world. That said, it gets more and more difficult to keep up with 7 year old children who fly around these virtual worlds (e.g New Super Mario Bros) at light speed. Excellent commentary.

I am a parent with kids who love the technology and love gaming. It is a continuous process for a parent to pay attention to the games that they play and moderate the messages that they receive.
