Your point about not battling over the most popular key phrases is right on. “…For smaller websites, it’s best to shy away from the most popular keyphrases” In most cases more targeted key phrases will provide much higher quality traffic that is easy or at least easier to close. Great advice.

I loved this article! I am an innkeeper who created and maintains our website and love reading what I am doing is right on the money!

I laughed as I read about the big guys now in the picture as on my gravestone will be the words “It’s all about content”

We have our own SEO and SEM guru who is a friend and also fellow innkeeper who touts the same same you have written about in your article.

We travel and tourism ARE cutting edge internet-savvy, otherwise noone would ever find us and our beds would lie empty.
