Recycled information seems to be the nature of the blogging world. Be that as it may, not everyone feeds off content from the same sources, and sometimes things you would have wanted to know slip through the cracks.

Today they announced on the WordPress development blog that they have re-launched the theme directory.

Now, since I prefer to create custom designs, I’m not much of a theme advocate, but it is quite nice to look through others’ creations, to see how people are stretching the limitations of WordPress and making things work in ways others might not have thought of before.

Speaking of which, WordPress Rockstar Adii has recently released his premium WordPress theme site WooThemes.com. The actual themes they have on offer are great and can serve as a really nice starting point for a number of different types of websites.

Coming back to the WordPress repository, it seems rather sparse at present, but I’m sure with the thriving community that this system has, it won’t be long before it’s thriving!
