profile
Mark is a professional engineer with experience grounded in the telecommunications industry. For the past six years his focus has been on telecom-IT operational support systems.

He founded Mobinomics in 2005 with the vision of creating a niche telecom-IT business servicing Africa’s network operators and service provider’s. A key foundation on which the business is built is to remain agile and focused in the spirit of “small is beautiful”.
Mark sees the increasingly critical role that management of large-scale complex systems will play in the future. Every person and every business on the face of the planet will become deeply integrated economically and socially with emerging global digital communication platforms. Maintaining availability and stability of this most complex technical system created by man will need equal advances in engineering management paradigms and practices around complex systems.

Mark holds an MSc in engineering management and a BSc in electronic engineering from University of Cape Town.
