In 2005, Graunt Kruger was a Nelson Mandela Scholar at the London School of Economics. He completed an MSc New Media, Information and Society focusing on innovation in developing-country economies. Last year he completed an MBA with Wits, during which he researched strategy processes in IT-intensive businesses. He also holds a BJourn (with distinction) from Rhodes University.

Graunt is currently manager of mobile advertising for Vodacom South Africa and part of the team responsible for commercialising advertising products and early-stage development of new business opportunities. He has been with Vodacom since March 2006, prior to which he was at Carte Blanche and the Sunday Times working on new-media initiatives.
